Usually a mole is noticed to be getting rapidly bigger, or bleeding. Larger number of moles with irregular shapes and borders, a deep black colour will also represent melanoma. Those moles may either examined or removed. In its advanced stage the symptoms are cough, shortness of breath, chest pain or blood in the sputum, weakness, fatigue, weight loss and bone pain. Fine needle aspiration is done for diagnosis purpose. The only effective treatment for this melanoma type cancer is the surgical removal of the affected skin region.
